Our Josie

Our dear friend, Josie Measures, suffered a traumatic brain injury on February 19, 2017 as a result of a fall during a Monster Cross bicycle race in Pocahontas State Park, Chesterfield, VA. Josie is in a coma and is being treated by the NeuroICU department in VCU's Critical Care Hospital. To help get Josie out of the coma, we need female volunteers to help us round the clock to sit with Josie, talk to her, and to do exercises for stimulation and muscle movement. Josie and her husband Bill are from the UK and do not have any family here in the US. They live in Cary, NC and really need help in Richmond until we can get her back to NC. We are appreciative of whatever time you might be able to donate - 1 hour to all day! Since the majority of her friends and co-workers are in NC, it is very difficult for us to provide the vigil of care that she needs. Thank you for your support and your continued prayers. As we transition Josie to NC, we will create a new calendar to coordinate help there. God bless you all!
